What we do

Book a physiotherapy session and the clinician chooses the treatment from your assessment - 60 minutes, $40, or covered by a membership. Massage, spa and hijama are booked on their own.
- PhysiotherapyA 60-minute session with a clinician. Your first one is the assessment; after that, the clinician chooses what each session is for from what was found - hands-on physiotherapy, strength and activation, movement and balance, the DAVID machines, manual and recovery work, stretching and mobility, biomechanics, deep tissue release, functional training, and a re-assessment to measure your progress. $40 a session, or covered by a membership. · 60 min$40

What a session can include
Assessment / Scan
The first appointment, and the one everything else is built on. The clinician takes your history, measures how you move, and looks at the limitations and the pain patterns behind what brought you in. You leave knowing what was found, what is restricted for now, what the goal is, and which program fits. Nothing is programmed before this session has happened.
Physio Therapy
The treatment session that follows the assessment, built from what the assessment found. Depending on the case it combines mobility work, manual techniques, soft-tissue work and therapeutic exercise, and it usually ends with two or three things to carry on with at home between visits. The content changes as you progress rather than repeating week to week.
Strength & Activation
Targeted strengthening for the muscles the assessment found weak, inhibited or not contributing. Work is done on machines, with free weights and with bands, and the load is raised gradually as you tolerate it. The measure of a good session here is not how much you lifted but whether the intended muscle did the work.
Movement & Balance
Retraining control rather than raw strength: proprioception, balance, coordination and the neuromuscular timing that keeps a joint stable when you are not thinking about it. Commonly used after an ankle, knee or shoulder injury, and for anyone whose balance has become unreliable and who wants that addressed directly.
David Therapy
Rehabilitation on the David machines - cervical, spine, upper body and lower body - which isolate one segment and load it through a measured, controlled range. The clinician decides which device and which settings after the assessment, and not every patient is put on them. Where they are indicated they run alongside the rest of the program rather than replacing it.
Manual & Recovery
Hands-on treatment: manual therapy, massage and mobility work, with electrotherapy added where the clinician judges it useful. Most often used to bring pain and stiffness down far enough that the active part of the program can be done properly, so it is usually scheduled alongside strengthening rather than instead of it.
Stretching Wall & Mobility
Guided stretching and joint mobility work at the stretching wall, positioned so the range comes from the joint that needs it rather than from the one that moves most easily. Often paired with strength work in the same week, because range you cannot yet control is not range you can use.
Biomechanics
A session on how one segment actually moves under load - foot, ankle, knee, hip, spine or shoulder - and on correcting the pattern that keeps reloading the area that hurts. Worth booking when the same place keeps flaring up despite treatment, because the cause is often how the joint above or below it is behaving.
Deep Tissue / Muscle Release
Targeted soft-tissue release on a specific muscle or group, worked at the depth the case calls for. Used for tight, overloaded or guarded tissue, and generally as one part of a wider plan rather than as a treatment on its own.
Functional Training
The last phase for most cases. Strength, speed, coordination and agility rebuilt around the tasks you actually need - lifting, stairs, carrying a child, or the specific demands of your sport. Work is progressed towards the real thing rather than stopping at the gym version of it, so that going back to it is a step rather than a jump.
Re-Assessment / Re-Scan
The measurements from the first assessment, repeated, so progress is a comparison rather than an impression. The clinician goes through what has changed, what has not, and what the next block should be - carry on, progress the load, change the approach, or finish.

About
A centre built around assessment.
MCS Center is a physiotherapy, rehabilitation, movement and recovery centre. Every patient starts with an assessment, and nothing is programmed before that assessment has been done and discussed.
What follows is chosen from what was found: hands-on treatment, strengthening, movement and balance work, machine-based rehabilitation, or a combination of them. The plan is reviewed as you go and changed when the findings change. It is not a fixed routine handed to everyone who walks in.
- Assessment first
- Plans adapted per patient
- Progress re-measured
- 60-minute sessions
How it works
What a course of treatment looks like
1. Assessment
Your history, how you move, what is limited and what is restricted for now. You leave knowing what was found and what the plan is.
2. A plan, written for you
Built from the assessment, not from a template. Which of the eleven services it draws on depends on what was found.
3. Reviewed, then re-measured
A progress check around session 6, and the first measurements repeated at the end, so progress is a comparison rather than an impression.

Questions
Before you book
Do I need an assessment before anything else?
Yes. The assessment is what the rest is built from - it establishes your baseline, what is limited, what is restricted for now and which program fits. Book that first and the clinician will tell you what follows.
How do the memberships work?
A membership is a pack of sessions bought in advance: 12, or 36 to use within three months, or 72 within six. Each physiotherapy session you book is deducted automatically, and you can see how many are left. It opens with an assessment, there is a progress check around session 6, and it closes with a re-assessment so that progress is measured against where you started. Which sessions make up the middle is decided by the clinician and adapted as you go.
Will I be put on the David machines?
Only if they are indicated for your case. The clinician chooses the device and the settings after the assessment, and plenty of patients are never put on them at all. Where they are used it is alongside the rest of the program.
Can I book a single session without a membership?
Yes. A single physiotherapy session is $40, and your first one is the assessment. Massage, spa packages and hijama are booked on their own too.
What does a membership cost?
12 sessions are $360, or $35 a session paid as you go. 36 sessions within three months are $900, and 72 within six months are $1,440. Sessions are deducted automatically as you book.
How long is a session?
60 minutes.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
Comfortable clothing you can move in, and any medical report, scan or referral you already have. You will be asked a few questions when you book, which saves time on the day.
Start with an assessment.
